For me, it takes just a few seconds to load - considerably faster than Notes, though also a tiny bit slower than prior versions. That doesn't really bug me. What bugs me is,
once it has loaded, it will periodically run very very slowly (or is actually unusable, as someone posted in a similar thread), and this seems to be tied to it updating the counts on my contact lists. And what REALLY bugs me is, this doesn't seem to be a (useless) feature that I can turn off.
(I say useless because, does it really matter how many of my contacts are online, if the one I want to talk to isn't? Help me out, is there some usefulness to this feature that I'm not grasping? One that is so important it is worth slowing me down while it spins thru updating numbers all day?)
